Hello swimmers, turkey trotters, and newcomers!
With the holiday season approaching, there's no better time to hop in the water and prepare for those turkeys, hams, and every possible variation of potato. No matter what stage of swimming you may be in, there's no reason to not take this time to learn new skills, or even get a different perspective. After much delay, it is a pleasure to introduce our new upcoming freestyle swim series! This week, we're just setting the stage for the future, and will build freestyle from the ground up over the coming weeks!

Even if you're already a seasoned freestyler, it certainly doesn't hurt to join us on this journey through the different aspects of the stroke. Over the next several weeks, we'll proceed to create a stepwise framework for freestyle. Beginning with the trunk of the body and the body streamline of freestyle (next week) and moving through the kick, pull, and recovery. We're really looking forward to this project and passing on our home-grown knowledge of the freestyle stroke! Make sure to like and subscribe to our Youtube channel to follow along!
Fact of the week: The holiday season is the best time to get in the water and get some extra cardio in! Here at Sigma Swimming, our goal is to create comprehensive curricula for all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a youth learner, adult learner, or youth/masters swimmer, there's always still room for growth, and CERTAINLY room for you here with us! Join us over the next several weeks as we document the freestyle progression, and subsequently into other strokes and disciplines thereafter! If you have any interest in our youth learner series, click this link; and if you're an adult learner, we've got plenty of content on initial learning AND deep water swimming!
How does my child move up? Come to every swim class, bring your progress report, earn those stickers, and ask your child's instructor or location's deck manager if you have questions.
How do I move up? Attend as many of your classes as possible, communicate with your instructor on your struggles, goals, and where you're at in our curriculum. We also have many adults who purchase a gym membership to 24 Hour Fitness or LA Fitness while they are taking lessons so they can practice 2-3 times between classes.
Welcome to the Freestyle Show! Glad you're with us!
